It’s common practice. Women gushing over male celebrities, sighing at their pictures, excitedly discussing their latest looks. It doesn’t seem to matter whether or not the women are married, or the marital status of the men they drool over. Because they’re just looking. That’s completely acceptable.
Or is it?
When a guy checks out or ogles a woman, we usually consider that inappropriate, possibly even bordering on sexual harassment. But somehow, when a woman eyes a man, it’s permissible, even encouraged by other women. In this age of equality, what sense does that make? (more…)
