what big teeth you have

I floated in the water near a pier, just enjoying the day. A wall of murky water towered behind me, separating me from the houses.

“The water’s high today,” I thought to myself. “Lots of rain lately.”

As I looked at the wall of water, a shadow began to emerge from its depths, zooming toward me. My heart pounded as I realized what it was: an alligator. And it was headed right toward me. (more…)

long live… the ghosts of union soldiers?

I was siting in my car today, waiting at a stoplight. Having just visited the Starbucks drive-thru, the delicious scent of coffee was just beginning to drift through my car as I chatted with a friend (this lady) on Luna’s bluetooth.

And then I saw them. To my left, through the window of the car next to me, three figures in blue, carrying a white flag with a red cross. They couldn’t be… and yet they were… Union soldiers.

Confession: I’m a car-dancer.
