vote on, my friends

On this day, Americans across this country will visit a school, or a fire station, or a church, with one purpose: to peacefully make their opinions heard. It’s a practice that’s been long-admired in other countries, that ability of an individual to influence his/her government. People across the world have fought, and are still fighting, for that right.

We have it, sitting in front of us.

I’m not a political junkie. I don’t get excited about polls and debates and campaigns. In fact, sometimes I find all of that rather annoying. (Could we please stop spending millions to persuade people and instead put it to good use? I’m just saying…) (more…)
